A little help.

Listen or watch

Tap the round Listen button to start or pause audio. Watch loads the optional YouTube video; audio pauses so both won’t play together. If embedding is unavailable, use Open on YouTube. An internet connection and your device’s volume are needed.

Collect story stars

Listen to audio for one minute to unlock a gift. It stays waiting while you look at the book. When you are ready, tap Open your gift: the box opens, a big star appears, and confetti celebrates. One collected star is available per local calendar day. Refreshing cannot collect another. Collecting a star on a new day adds a story day. Paused, buffering, and skipped-ahead time do not count; listening progress is saved for that day. An unopened gift survives refreshes and overnight; if collected later, it counts on the collection day. Three complete missed days reset the current run; already earned badges and themes stay unlocked. One or two missed days have a grace period, so the count is story days in a run, not strictly consecutive days.

At 3 story days you unlock Forest and Night colors; at 7, 14, and 21 days you earn crown, sparkle, and reader badges. Follow the numbered trail: three story days unlock colors, and seven unlock a crown badge. These are small digital rewards, with no purchase required. Video viewing doesn’t currently award stars because we don’t track YouTube playback. Rewards are local to this browser and can’t verify that a story was completed.

NFC isn’t opening?

Use the book’s QR code instead. Both should point to the same book on this site. Older github.io tags need rewriting by the person who supplied the book. If you see Story Not Found, check that the link’s book ID exists.

Your voice

The Your voice bubble explains the planned parent/grandparent voice feature. Its action is marked Coming soon until the feature is available.

Admin testing

Your Google Sheets login does not sign you in here. Open the story link with &visit_type=admin_test once to mark this browser’s visits as admin tests. The visible test-mode notice stays until you choose Exit test mode. This is a local analytics setting, not an authenticated administrator role.
